Default Biggio to become head baseball coach at a Texas High School

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/highs...ory?id=3403458

I just saw this story and I think its really cool. These high school kids are incredibly lucky and fortunate to be learning from a future hall of famer. Craig Biggio is the man

Cool.

I see that he's moving from assistant coach to head coach, and that the school already won a state championship earlier this month.

I wonder if Biggio is sharing with the students where to get the best, um, dietary supplements and stuff?

Biggio is the man. I've had the privilege of seeing him twice when the Zephyrs were affiliated with the Astros. Awesome guy. I can remember before the game he was talking to anyone and everyone and signing everything handed too him.

Then when I finally got towards the dugout he leaves and I end up getting my hat ruined by a Chuck Carr signature.

Lol whoknows. I've said before on this board that I have knowledge of his PED use, however brief it may (or may not) have been. Either way, I still think he's a good dude, good player, and probably will be a good coach for those kids.

Well, I might be concerned if my kids had a private school teacher or coach whom I suspected had used drugs illegally for two decades.

I think it's good he's staying active in baseball.

Maybe he'll teach them how to lean into pitches on the inside of the plate.

Biggio rocks!
