Default intensity

who has more?

kevin garnett

vs.

jon papelbon

this is a legitimate argument i think.

papelbon looks intense as hell all the time on the mound, but garnett is intense 24/7, even on the bench and in blowouts.

I'd say Garnett. You're right, the only time Paps is intense is when pitching. He's a goofball all the time besides that. Garnett is all around intense.

Aw, man.... The name escapes me now, but who was that relief pitcher who used to stare down the base runner on 1st (even if there wasn't one), and then snap his face forward to home plate as fast as he could (he had a Papelbon stare of his own...)?

My buddies and I used to make fun of his "intensity." We were waiting for the day when he pops something in his neck and hits the DL. Imagine that conversation.

"What the hell were you doing?!?!?!"

"Sorry, I was trying to be scary!"

Not that that was a choice anyway........

One day I'll learn to stay on topic.
