Born and raised in Boston. Wouldn't have it any other way either.

Born and raised in eastern Connecticut. Once I turned 21 I couldn't get out fast enough. Moved to Athens GA for a summer then went to school in Altanta. I couldn't follow the Sox after 1994 which SUCKED. I could only catch the occassional ESPN or playoff game until I got my computer in 2000. I listened to every game for free from WEEI's website that year and really fell back in love with Boston baseball. It is so much more passionate than Braves baseball...

MLB took over the broadcasts in 2001 and I was pissed I had to pay to listen. I finally was able to purchase Extra Innings in mid season 2002 and have officially returned to RSN as a full time member.

I'm getting really bored with life down in the south these days. I'm considering moving to Foxborro. How cool would that be??? I don't know much about the town, but the prospect of being able to go to Boston anytime excites me and of course the Pats would be the hometown team!

Thats awesome, RSR. But I have a question for you about extra innings. Is it available on almost every cable subscriber, or do you need dish network to get it. Also, how much is it and does it carry all (or the vast majority at least) of the sox games?

Anyway, Georgia is really nice. Or at least, Atlanta is, I dont know about Athens. But moving to MA would be awesome. You could go to sox games regularly.

No dish is required for Extra Innings. Just call your local cable provider and find out if they offer it. I know mine didn't the first year I heard about it, but the next year they did. As a matter of fact, they told me at the time that they started carrying it because they had so many requests for it. So get on the horn, mister! BTW, I have Comcast...

They jacked up the price a tad this year. Last year it was $130ish, this year it's around $170 I think. Two years ago it was $180, so I'm not complaining..

Here's the schedule

They don't show all the games, but I'd guess they show 90%. It's worth every cent.

Ok, cool, thanks for the info. Its not for now, I just may want to use it at some point in the future if life ever takes me away from Boston.

No offense to anyone, but I HATE New York with a capital H-A-T-E.

I cant stand its size, its smell, its sounds, its in your face attitude, its commotion, its facelessness, its everything. Boston is the place that I'd rather be, far and away. Small enough to be cozy, big enough to have fun, cool enough to have the Red Sox ( ) and just right for me.
new york is alright, its just the yankees is what really brings it down
