Most of those of you who post here know that Baseball Reference (BR), or

is one of the best pure stats sites out there. I wanted to mention that I'd noticed that NoMaas.org had sponsored a prominent Red Sox player's page (as they often do), and I'd noticed that they'd put a highly vulgar urban slang message up regarding the player. I emailed Sean Forman, owner and director. He returned the email in about 24 hours apologizing for his oversight--he didn't understand the vernacular. In less than a week the message was changed--I'm sure that the page was a $100+ sponsorship, and it looks as if Sean Forman may have lost the money given the bland words now posted.

My thanks and kudos to Sean Forman. If you folks haven't ever checked out BR, do so--it's great!
