Tattoos
This is something I've been thinking about for over a year now, and I'm leaning towards getting one on the upper half of my right arm so it can be easily covered with a t-shirt if need be.
Does anyone here have one? If yes, of what?

How about Tex in a Red Sox uniform?

Re: Tattoos
After game 3 against the Yanks, me and my friend made a pact to get a tattoo if they came back to win the series. Got the Red Sox symbol on my upper arm

Re: Tattoos
I have 2. One on each upper arm. A tribal type Phoenix on one and a sun with a crecent moon inside of it on the other.
I too one day hope to get a Red Sox tattoo

Re: Tattoos
Just one for me. My last name in gaelic on my upper back.
I want another, haven't really decided what to get, though.

Re: Tattoos
I drew this out before I went to bed yesterday during the wee hours of the morning. I want to get this on my arm, but on the upper half so I can cover it.
Aequitas means "Justice" in Latin, and it's something that has developed a deep meaning to me over the years for reasons I'd rather not get into. I figure that if I were to get a tattoo with a good amount of detail, I would have to be able to answer if someone asked me why I have it. Well, I definitely could.
The whole tattoo consists of "Aequitas" curved at the top in Old English so that it fits on my arm and can be read from left to right. The design has two snakes intertwined in the scales of justice, staring at each other. I feel like it's more symbolic when the snakes are staring at each other. Let me know what you think.
Obviously, I will bring this into the tattoo artist and let him make any adjustments so that it can be the best it can be. I think there needs to be more space between Aequitas and the design, because it all seems a bit congested. Also let me know what you think about that.
Then, on the other side of my arm, but still on the top half, I want "Veritas vos liberabit" written in script in very small words to keep it on that upper half of my arm. The overall theme is "Veritas et Aequitas" (as seen in Boondock Saints, booya) meaning "Truth and Justice."

Re: Tattoos
I like it a lot. I would agree with putting a bit more space between "Aequitas" and the design and so it doesn't look as cluttered. But the design itself looks great -- take it in, let the guy make any adjustments he needs to, and it'll be a great looking tattoo. Do you want to do it in color or black and white?
I think for my next tattoo I'm going to get the latin phrase "Dum Spiro Spero" ("While I breathe, I hope") on the inside of my bicep. Maybe something USAF related after I've been in for a while.

I was thinking that I want to do it without color. IIRC, color fades a little over time, and black/gray just looks sharpest for longer. Though I am thinking that color will help distinguish the snakes from the scales better. Not sure. That's something I'll ask them.

Re: Tattoos
Bump.
Just curious does anyone else have tattoos on this site? I read through a few other threads and I see some people have the B for Boston Red Sox logo tattooed on them. That's pretty cool. Sometime near the future I'd like to get one but not sure where.
When I turn 18 I plan on getting a tattoo on my upper right arm of a cross with thw words that say "only the strong survive". That quote has been with me since I was a little kid. What's interesting is my favorite basketball player has the same tattoo(Allen Iverson). The cross is horrible though. Was just looking at my older brothers tattoos and just felt the needed to bring up conversation.
