Default Dana Reeve, widow of Christopher Reeve, dies

http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/03/0....ap/index.html

A wonderful, strong woman who will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her children who are now without a mommy or daddy.

Thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. Hopefully in the near future we can come up with a way to beat cancer, it truely is a horrible thing.

If any good comes out of this, it will be the increased awareness of lung cancer risks. People dont realize you dont have to smoke to get it. CNN mentioned that 20% of women with Lung Cancer were nonsmokers.

Dont' delete this post Youk. It's not tasteless, do a google search and you will see that phrase, that celebrity deaths come in 3's.

I don't know if I've ever heard that celebrity deaths come in threes, but I have always been told that bad luck comes in threes.

No "they" don't. Let's see how many people around the would die on a given day ? Some tragic, some a relief from pain and suffering. Jeez you're not even getting your clich?s right. Bad things come in three's ( applies to an individual ), don't walk under a ladder, don't step on cracks on a sidewalk, 7 years bad luck for breaking a mirror, and two years of bad luck for pissing-off a Mod.

To be fair, I have, in the past, heard the phrase "deaths come in threes". To add to that, I've also heard it preceded by "they say".

Regardless, my thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends.

I've heard the same thing myself. The Sopranos even had a reference to it in an episode where Junior was worried about dying cuz two people he knew died already. He told Tony that he knew "deaths always come in threes"

Sox Fan, maybe you and Youk can do a Google search together (or maybe watch the Soprano's together??)

I have heard of the theory that deaths come in 3s. It's not being tasteless, and its not really speculation on who will die next. It's just an observation that, among celebrities or famous people, there always seems to be a string of deaths. This happened last year and everyone commented on it. It also seems to happen with plane crashes.

I'm not saying that it's true. It's just that, when one happens, we seem to pay more attention and then notice others more. That''s all.

I stand corrected.
