Re: 5/18 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
I am starting to really regret the trade that I made to get Beckett in my other Fantasy league.

One of Jerry and Don (forget which) tried to put a move on her, complementing her sunglasses and such. Next time they went to her, she didn't have em on. Over/under on the restraining order?

Re: 5/18 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Well not a great start by Beckett today by any means, but at least he gutted through it and gave us 7 innings after the double header yesterday. It is a little worrying how his off-speed pitches were crushed today by the Brewers, hopefully he can figure it out before his next start.

Re: 5/18 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
YOUUUUUUUUUUUK! If he can keep up these fantastic numbers without his second half decline he will easily be in the discussion for top first basemen in the AL.

Heck, he's already in the top ten in MLB...maybe around sixth-best, I'd venture.

Re: 5/18 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
While I'd rather see MDC pitching better than he did, he showed uncharacteristic calmness pitching out of his own jam there.

Re: 5/18 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
And Boston wins.
The wind blowing out and weak Milwaukee pitching helped Boston overcome four gopher balls allowed by Beckett. Great days for lots of Boston batters, especially Big Papi, Youk, and Pedroia; terrible day for Coco Crisp, 0-5, the only Boston batter not to get a hit.
Quiet hero: Tek was 2-3 with two walks, raising his BA to .281.

Balls where flying out today, the wind was blowing pretty hard. Beckett did throw some crap pitches, but I doubt he gives up that many all the time. 6 runs, on 6 hits doesn't happen often. Most times if you got 7 innings and give up 6 hits, your doing well.

Like you wouldn't hit it harder than a 2-0 Mike Mussina fastball.
