Thank you to an old friend
I know I've pretty much taken a hiatus from discussion boards since the collapse of my old stomping grounds (which some of you here also came from) but a good friend from Ghosts of BH Past came to me earlier today to get me back and ya know.. it seems like a pretty good idea.. I mean, what with coming off one of the most frustrating Red Sox seasons since 2002 (I know we missed the playoffs in 06 but we kinda shoulda seen it coming when Javi Lopez was our #1 backstop after 'Tek went down.. therefore allowing us to get drunker and madder at will) why not?
A lot has happened since I've been truly active in the Red Sox forum scene so I'd like to thank PC for asking me back from my fruitless quests on social networking sites I spend WAY to much fucking time on..
To those who have no clue who I am.. a few things about me:
I live in fucking North Dakota (Grand Forks)
I'm 31 and a Red Sox fan since birth (although my first memories of reading box scores in 1983 are where I likely started "following")
I get free cable.
Sean, VA, PC, YAZMAN.. old friends that I hope to reacquaint with as we gear up for another season of frustration.
to everyone else.. learn it, know it, and love it.
I am back.

Re: Thank you to an old friend
No worries, Coco.. been here since 2001.. I figured I might as well stay since Boston's sports scene began to explode with success that year..
basically I got traded for everyone else's joy.

Re: Thank you to an old friend
I work for the local cable company out here (Midcontinent Communications) so I get a few perks
The BH is well in the past.. just posting under articles which is stupid in my opinion. Can't keep track of a damn thing over there haha. Serious blowhards now frequent that place.
The sacrifice isn't that bad really.. I don't mind the -50 windchills in January and I have definitely become a big fan of college hockey out here. I'm even in my 2nd season of holding season tickets for the UND Fighting Sioux. Only show in town really, besides me haha.

Re: Thank you to an old friend
Thanks, Spud.
Quick Question. How do I get to go into the "anything goes" forum?
I grew up in Vermont before i was told I was needed in the Tundra so I am well aware of the harsh winters New England gets.. but seriously.. there is no comparison when it comes to blistering wind. One inch of snow and a 15 MPH breeze = blizzard out here. Har Har Har.
