  1. My lane is still staunchly in the anti Cashman camp at this point. Turnover is needed and the results haven’t been there
  2. I waiver because he has continuously built a solid farm while picking near the bottom on the draft yearly. But he always seems to leave huge holes or question marks at season's initiation that he then overpays for at the deadline to fix.
  3. Meh, I don’t love the move. Yanks and Orioles lead the league in runs per game. Our issue is we pitch when we can’t hit, we hit when we can’t pitch. It’s a problem and our fundamentals suck. Boone has been an awful manager. Cashman an awful GM. Time for a reset
  4. He’s not healthy. FB tracking lower, slider not sliding. My bet is that elbow is f***ed
  5. Seriously. I don’t understand it. Most MLB execs last 3-5 years. Great ones turn over in 10. He’s had this job for 26 years. He’s been given one of the best payrolls over that time. He’s turned in 1 title in 24 years
  6. Again, really questionable team building and managing. Lemahieu looked old last year and we didn’t add to the IF mix. Rizzo looked old this year (and got hurt), and we didn’t add to the 1b mix. Stanton has looked old for years and we didn’t add offense beyond Soto. Verdugo was on a downward trend and brought him in after failing in Boston. I had better hopes, but he’s toast, completely lost. Torres really didn’t takeoff as expected in a contract year. Wells is basically a rookie. No reason he should bat 4th. It seems every time a kid starts to hit, Boone brings them up to 4th in the lineup and they struggle. I’d bat Wells-Volpe-Rice in that order 7-8-9 and leave them there. Let them grow up a little at the bottom of the order That we haven’t added at this point is almost criminal. This team is heading into a major area of instability for 2025. Half the team is a FA and we need to find the funds to retain Soto. Cole looks hurt, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out he needs elbow surgery. Above all that, we do have a decent rotation especially when Schmidt returns. The injured pen guys are close. Soto and Judge look like Ruth and Gehrig. Stanton and Dominguez come in and add depth, we add in a 3b and probably a 1b who can hit and we can roll with that.
  7. Stupid idea. Yanks still in PO position on a team about to see half its players hit FA. We add Dominguez in a couple weeks which should give us something in OF next to Judge and Soto. We need to add another bat or two. That being said, teams are taking notice. Pitch carefully to Soto, if you get him out, walk Judge. If you don’t, still walk Judge. The 4 hitters on this team have an OPS under .600. No protection for our dynamic duo means Bonds treatment for both. Stanton was the cog here which is strange. He was good enough to make teams have to pitch to Judge
  8. I thought you were making a Wild Thing reference until I noted Carlos Estevez is on the Angels, lol
  9. Yankees channeling their 2023 energy
  10. More drivel from FsB. Yanks ranked in the top 10 in farm systems, sox in the back 10. Yanks entire pitching staff went into a slump at the same time prompting the s***** performance of late. It’ll correct eventually. This team is good. They found at least a short term answer at 1b in Rice. Kid looks like a good ball player. Torres is starting to swing it. With Stanton on the shelf, we’ve got Grisham in there every day and he isn’t an everyday player. DJ is done, his bat speed is gone and he’s got no more leg drive. He centered a ball last night in the 8th and flew out to the warning track. Yanks need a lefty reliever who doesn’t suck, another high leverage reliever to pair with Holmes if the lefty is more specialist and a 3b who can rake.
  11. You will sell off Pivetta, O'Neill, and Jansen. Maybe will dangle Crawford too
  12. I’m wondering if the Sox realize they’re out of window and their talent isn’t conducive to investment just yet. The Orioles are good. The Yankees are good. If JH injects $50 mil into the club, will they win a division?
  13. Boone threw out a garbage lineup and we still won.
  14. Dominguez is killing the ball on his minor league assignment but is destined to be optioned. Cole starts in AA this week. Soto is special. Just a special player. Man, this team is destined for greatness if they can stay healthy
  15. Soto and Judge have seemed to get Stanton re-engaged. Stanton is seeing better pitches as he’s got more traffic on the bases in front of him. We haven’t seen dick from Rizzo. Gleyber is about to lose his job once Peraza comes back. Volpe has been excellent. The starters have been lights out. Really good first 1/3 of the season
