The March 1st was the date he needed to be released by, not signed by, but for some reason no one in any major sports media outlet made this information known.

Not Celtics related but I didn't feel like trying to find the NBA thread...

Anyone see the score of the other nights Nuggets/Sonics game?

Nuggets - 168
Sonics - 116...

... in regulation. 'Melo was the Nuggets high scorer with only 26 points.

They were ridiculous last night. Sonics looked awful on the defensive end.

this is the most pathetic display of team defense ive ever witnessed including allstar games
the washington nationals wouldve given denver a better game
fuck
there are 3 high schools in worcester who couldve held them under 168

That game i went to on Friday was the most frustrating sports event I've ever witnessed in person.

The chick flat out sucks but the bald ref is on the take.

i think its now safe to say the best basketball team on the planet is once again where it belongs
they beat that houston team like a drum in the 2nd half and this, after playing the spurs the night before and coming back from 22 down?
with no ray allen to boot
winning on the road in the nba maybe the hardest thing to do in sports
winning back to back against the world champs and the hottest team in 36 years is especially noteworthy.

I disagree... having a split second to decide if it's a 95-mph fastball or a 80s-mph change up (nevermind if it's a ball or a strike) is the toughest thing to do in sports. hahahahaha. IMHO

BUT, I would like to add, my sports pants have been going crazy lately. I can only give limited information, because I don't want to jinx it... BUT, is there any combination of teams in the east (perhaps one from Boston), and the west (perhaps one from California) that might bring back memories of old, were they to meet in the NBA Finals??? Just saying....

Sean I was thinking last night- I hadnt laid a bet down since the superbowl and I was LOVING the C's last night straight up. They match up very well agains the Rockets.

The west isn't so scary. Utah and a healthy LA team are all that scares me over there.

Cleveland as the 4 seed and then Detroit in the next round scares me more.

Powe looked great, again, and their D was superb. I thought Cassell was thowing the game near halftime. He needs to play more down the stretch and get comfortable with the big things.... like dribbling and passing.

Two minutes left and somebody in the backcourt THROWS Rondo? No Flagrant, No Intentional...WTF?

No Matter. Kevin Garnett put them in their place. Even that cute chick in the stands rooting for the Rockets knew they got owned.

T-Mac said if was the best defense he has ever played against.

Not that its relevant but I think he is one of the most overrated players in the NBA.

Black Vincent has been screaming about Powe for 18 months and now he looks like a genious
i played the rockets in a 3t money line parlay then i middled the celtics cause sammy had them marinated straight up and on the money line so i then parlayed that with what i thought was the under
i checked the #s and i played the fucking over by accident?
it was only a 25 parlay but its a 90.00 fuck up that i hate making

i got
nc
ku
tx
ucla with nc and ucla playing for it all with nc on top at the end
however
this tourney could go to about 8 different clubs based on what ive seen

57 57 at the half last night and im wondering if they can handle the athletes on this phoenix team....
come 5 minutes to play it was garbage time
they strangled this team, handcuffed nash and made oneil look like he was 75.
rondo continues to impress and made a move on nash that buckled my knees as i sat on the couch...
home court thru out looks like a done deal and the only thing standing between them and #17 is themselves
