Got this idea from another board.

We'll go pick by pick of the first round of the NFL draft, getting a board consensus and we'll see how it stacks up against the actual NFL Draft. The discussion will last every few days.

No wishy-washy bullshit, either. Make a definitive pick.

Pick 1 - The Miami Dolphins select...

My vote is for Jake Long, OT out of Michigan. In my opinion, this draft class doesn't have a sure-fire, can't miss #1 pick. Because that is the case, I feel (a) no team will want to trade with the Fins for the pick, and (b) they will take the "safest" player available. Jake Long will do a few things for the Dolphins, most notably make their best player, Ronnie Brown, better.

I'm not sold on Ryan or Chris Long, and I think Dorsey's injury costs him a few spots.

What say you?

Jake Long for the exact same reasons as you mentioned.

So are we going to do a pick per day type thing? I'm not sure what you mean by the discussion lasting every few days.

I'm not sold on Ryan, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them take him either. He's not #1 overall material, IMO, but for the Dolphins it would make sense in addition to Jake Long. John Beck and Cleo Lemon? Bleck.

Tough to say. It all depends on what Miami thinks is priority, offense or defense. Both lines need an overhaul, so the determination between Long and Dorsey will depend on their priorities.
