Re: 2008 Boston Celtics Playoff Game thread
a team that wins by an average of 25 points at home and then loses 3 road games against a shit club like atlanta will have a hard time beating the cavaliers in a 7 game set.
why do they allow 100+ on the road while stifling them defensively at home?
they seem to have lost a bit of swagger and confidence in rondo as he was on the pine friday night in crunch time as sam cassell got the ball instead.
i dont like the confusion and panic
doc rivers kevin garnett and paul pierce have never won shit in their entire careers
pierce played on 1 of the most talented basketball teams in ncaa history as his 96 jayhawks had 8 pros on that roster
they didnt make the final 4 1x in his 4 years.
rivers as a player had to go thru boston detroit chicago and other clubs that were better
as a coach he had oppurtunity in orlando and failed there
garnett played on a decent wolves team that had a chance to do some good things.
they really failed
7 straight 1st round exits and 1 trip to the conference finals is his resume in minneappolis.
that shit dont fly here,we dont politely clap when getting eliminated by lesser teams.
anything less than a trip to the finals will be considered a disappointment after winning 66 games during the season.

I agree.
I also fear that the dissapointment you speak of is coming. The Celts showed their flaws in those away games.

They showed them, but this isn't the same Celtics team from two years ago. I feel like this team will take those flaws and feed off of them. They're not going to roll over and die. I can't wait to see Garnett's intensity out there against Lebron.
Its kind of like the Red Sox in 2004. Not to explicitly draw the comparison, they're not at all the same, but whenever we expected them to choke they did exactly the opposite.

Odds on Celtics tickets becoming impossible to come by next year?

Aside from both teams being from Boston, how the hell did you connect those dots? When did anyone expect them to choke?

Celtics with a 10 point lead after 1 quarter. Rondo and KG are in the zone

Re: 2008 Boston Celtics Playoff Game thread
Ugly second quarter. Way too many missed oppurtunities and Allen and Pierce have been non-factors. C's by 4 at half.

Re: 2008 Boston Celtics Playoff Game thread
Cavaliers have to feel pretty good right now. Tied in the third and Lebron has been very un-Lebron-like from the field.

pretty sloppy game tonight, hopefully Allen can snap out of it because he will be important if the celtics are going to be able to pull this one out

Doc Rivers is beyond awful. How is Posey on the bench right now?
