Re: Rondo and Celtics agree to deal
Ray Allen is in the twilight of his career. Paul Pierce has been playing the best basketball of his career over the past couple of seasons. KG isn't done by any stretch of the imagination. With a continuously developing Rondo, who improves every year, I think this team has a shot next year even if Ray Allen leaves (if we get a suitable SG). Can Rondo be the number player on a team? Not right now. But we are paying him to be in the future when the big three are gone on really shells of their former selves.

Re: Rondo and Celtics agree to deal
Ray definitely is in the twilight of his career.
BUT
That makes him sound like a bum, and he's not, it's just a testament to how special he was in his prime and how good shape he's in right now that lets him continue to play high level ball.

twilight is a joke. he shots the same FG percentage but scores less points. that is because he came from a team where he was the center piece.
he had the best FT % in his career last year. he had one of his top 3 point percentages last season. how can you say he is the twilight of his career.
He is not in the twilight of his career.
You could still build a team around him.

Re: Rondo and Celtics agree to deal
You most certainly could not build a team around Ray Allen at this point in his career. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. He could be a 2nd option on a good team, a 3rd on a great team. The reason he still looks so good is because he doesn't have to carry the load like he was in Seattle and Milwaukee and he doesn't need to press to find his offense here.

okay whatever you say even though you are dead wrong. i would build a team around allen. he is like rondo because he can pass really but he can shoot really well. if you say he is in the twilight of his career then he is Dan Duquette.

I'm going to give you a chance to actually explain what "twilight" is, per your definition.

Hey.
He's a nice guy.
Maybe he's just got a different definition of the word. Let's read what he has to say.

when a player starts to deteriorate in his play. When his shooting percentage falls horribly and he cant play worth shit. when a player looks lost on the floor. LiKE SHAQ. lol

Re: Rondo and Celtics agree to deal
I don't think Ray Allen is done, but any GM that would build a team around him is a moron.
bsox, what do you think of the Twilight books? Vampires and stuff.
