Pacquiao/Mayweather at YANKEE STADIUM in 2010
What a fight that would be. there have been whispers for a little while now that the Yankees would like to host boxing matches, as they did in the old Stadium. A fight of this magnitude would be incredible.

Quote:
The Yankees are interested in hosting a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight next spring, according to a person in baseball who spoke on the condition of anonymity. There have been no formal discussions, and there will not be before an agreement is reached between the fighters, but high-ranking Yankees employees have told boxing officials of their interest.
The Yankees held a news conference for Pacquiao and Cotto this fall, part of the effort to showcase the Stadium as a multipurpose site. Yankee Stadium has three times the capacity of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the site for the Pacquiao-Cotto fight, which holds just over 17,000.
Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer, said he believed Pacquiao and Mayweather would sell out Yankee Stadium. “That’s a fight the world wants to see,” he said.

A Pacquiao/Mayweather fight would SURELY sell out Yankee Stadium, and I would hope to be one of the lucky people there. I've never been to a pro fight, but between the location and the fighters involved, if this ever did come to fruition I'M THERE!

It wont happen because of tax issues. The leading venues are Vegas and Dallas.

I have to agree with StraightLeft. I'd be shocked if it isn't Dallas. What they are calling "Jerry World" down is bigger than the new YS and it's got that ginormous HD video screen over the playing field, which would be a big sell for a fight, IMO, and there's also the income tax issue.

So this fight isn't happening and I'm pissed.
Pacman's fighting Clottey now. This will be a pretty good fight, and I like Clottey, his fight with Cotto was awesome. But I think Pacquiao is going to run train on him.
And last I heard Mayweather is going to fight Mosley? Notch another win on his belt. IMO his unbeaten record will mean nothing unless Pacquiao is on it.
