I don't see us getting Vick or Alex Smith, but I think that Tebow can do well here.
The Jaguars have been a run based team and are good at run blocking. Dave Garrard and Byron Leftwich were two athetlic run-type QB's that had mixed results here. Blackmon and Shorts look to be a good WR set and depending on what MJD does they could be set at RB too. I like their special teams and some of their defense, so I think a few front line players and maybe a secondary player would be what the team needs most.
I'm not saying the Jaguars will be good anytime soon, but I think if Tebow started every game this season for the Jags we'd have won a few more games.

So they should get Michael Vick and still run the spread option.
Tebow can't complete passes enough to be consistent.
Jacksonville when they were good about 5 yrs ago had nice defense and a strong running game with a game managing QB. I think they should maybe get Alex Smith and try to take care of other needs in the draft. They could be the next 49ers before you know it.

What was unexpected, however, was Leshoure's futility in the running game, and a first quarter fumble put Bell in position to get regular carries as well, which helped his value.
I'm doing well thus far because Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez underperformed.

Yeah, but its just pissing me off.. his RB's are Reggie Bush and Joique Bell. Bell scored 17 and now Bush is going off, while I have Peterson struggling early and Forte going later.
This guy I'm playing honestly has been luckiest person I've ever seen with random guys going off when he needs them. He had Seattle D's score like 42 points when he was down by 39 a few weeks ago and last week he had Dennis Pitta go off for like 30 points and then Janikowski scored like 25 points...
He is the championship game with his RB's as Benard Pierce, Joique Bell, Rashard Mendenhall, Reggie Bush, LaRod Stephen's-Howling and Isaac Redman. This guy actually drafted most these guys as his RB's too, going into the season his starters were Mendenhall and Evan Royster... lol
I swear, fantasy football is 99% luck.

I definitely agree, that's why I like fantasy baseball. The guy in my work league who I lost to in the finals last year (who is also the CEO/President) drafted players like Aaron Rodgers, Lesean Mccoy, Rob Gronkowski and picked up Marshawn Lynch as a FA. To put things in perspective, he had the Pats defense the entire season and didn't switch out Gronkowski when he got injured.
I was 11-2 vs. everyone else and 0-3 vs. him. Of those 3 times, I was projected to win twice, the first of which Aaron Rodgers dropped 6 TD's (2 rushing) on Denver, and the 2nd one I needed Wes Welker to get like 30 yards against Kansas City and he got half that because KC double teamed him the majority of the game.
This year he normalized and missed the playoffs whereas I'm in the finals again hoping to prevent the same fate. My guys are doing well, but unfortunately so are my opponents.

Re: Official NFL thread
Yep, I've had similar things happen to me with guys who have no idea what they are doing beating me. I lost to some guy who started Coby Fleener all season for no reason over Antonio Gates due to "potential".
Anyway, This guy honestly has to have the worst championship team roster ever. I'm unlikely to win, A.D. Got shut down, Schaub sucked and my only real chance is Forte and Marshall going off...
His team:
QB: Joe Flacco
RB: Joique Bell
RB: Reggie Bush
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
Flex: Victor Cruz
TE: Dennis Pitta
D/ST (He picks up new one every week it seems): Bills
K: Janikowski
Bench:
Bowe (he picked him up out of free ageny this week, I don't know why lol)
Mendenhall
Isaac Redman
Pettigerew
Jerricho Cotchery
LaRod Stephens-Howling
Bernard Pierce
Nick Foles
Seahawks D
Logan Paulsen
Edit: He actually has Bowe on IR and also has Anquan Boldin, but still.
I'm so pissed I'm losing to this guy.. ALL he has is 3 WR's.

Re: Official NFL thread
I had 5-6 WR's that are ok to pretty good but always seem to underperform, this time I finally had them all have good games at the same time.
It looks like my only bad decision was benching Matt Forte (in my defense Knowshon Moreno and Demarco Murray were projected to get more)
Now I just have to cross my fingers vs. Lawrence Tynes, the Bears defense, and Michael Crabtree tonight. I'm still too afraid to check the score now though.

Re: Official NFL thread
Yeah, I've had the except same issues pretty much all season with my WR's.. I have Marshall who is a must-start every week.. But then to fill my other spot and flex I was always deciding between Antonio Brown, Malcolm Floyd, Michael Crabtree and Cecil Shorts. Thankfully for me when I needed them they came up big. Shorts and Crabtree have been really nice for me, especially since Brown was injured a lot this year.
Moreno actually isn't doing bad though, at least in our league which is a PPR, he has like 30 + rushing and receiving yards and 4 catches and its still early.

Mine isn't a PPR, but I'll still take it. Denver is winning so Moreno should see more action in the 2nd half. I had Colston/Maclin/Blackmon today, and I benched Nicks/Jennings/Nelson. Other than putting in Forte for Demarco Murray I think I did what I could. Now it's just up to the guys to go out and win. Luckily for me, based on my calculations, Rodgers/Colston/Maclin/Blackmon/Gostkowski/Indianapolis D all beat their projections and Murray/Graham did all right and Moreno isn't doing poorly either. As long as Tynes/Chicago D/Crabtree don't explode I think I should be in good shape. Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones lost to their projections yesterday and Ridley/Austin were around their projections I think.

Re: Official NFL thread
I ended up winning the fantasy football league after leaving the company during the season, so I can now stroll into work and get my money in person.

Re: Official NFL thread
And hey, the Jaguars didn't look too bad against y'all, heck we had good games vs. Houston and Green Bay too.

Re: Official NFL thread
Seattle is on fire. 150 points in 3 games. Are they a Super Bowl contender?

Anything can happen, remember when Seattle beat New Orleans a few years ago? Seattle is really dangerous at home, and they have a very good defense, are very good at running the ball, and have shown some decent passing too. They are very well coached imo and running on all cylinders.
Not to mention that in football especially it's about timing, as the two superbowl Giants teams I think were Wildcard teams, and the .500 Cardinals a few years ago made the Superbowl.
