Re: Official NBA thread
celtics again failed to put this away when they had these guys by the short hairs early on.
the only good thing about this week is detroit is locked up in a shit fight with philly.
canada is gone as expected in 4 and orlando has been the most consistant teams in the east so far.
out west?
that denver team needs a penis implant and a complete overhaul
on paper they should be terrifying but on the court they play defense like old people fuck(meaning they dont)
the playoffs are just begining here
im rooting for phoenix to take san antone at least 6 deep
thats another team that disappoints and is ripe for a house cleaning or at least a coaching change

Re: Official NBA thread
James Posey needs to cover Joe Johnson in the 4th quarter. And PP needs to get his shit together. Better not be hurt. At least we're back home.

Iverson wants an extension in Denver. Nuggets have a tough choice... Iverson could fetch a LOT in return since he'sgot a $20 mill contract that comes off the books after next year, or the Nuggets could keep him and take a run at it without George Karl... maybe pickup TJ ford. I tend to think a complete overhaul is in store... keep 'Melo, buildaround him again.
Anyone want proof that the NBA is a joke? The fact that KG won't be sitting out any games. I don't care what is going around all this, if you put your arms on an official like this it should be at least a game...
Especially if the NBA thinks it was right in suspending Amare last year.

Re: Official NBA thread
Yeah I was pretty suprised that nobody, especially KG, got suspended.

Re: Official NBA thread
A nice win for the C's last night. I think that they can end this series on Friday and give their guys some rest

The Hawks aren't THAT bad when you look at their team ... Horford, Joe Johnson (gotta love that trade where the Celtics landed Tony Delk and Rodney Rodgers! PRAISE THE LORD!), and Bibby (even though he's past his prime) are very good players - it obviously goes without saying that Johnson and Bibby are all-stars, while Horford is most definitely one in the making. Smith blocks shots like a porn star takes them, and Marvin Williams has been pretty solid throughout the series. Childress is a pretty decent 6th guy... Pachulia does the little things. The only thing that hurt them during the regular season was their youth. Maybe I'm in the minority, but they have a lot of talent on that team, and it's starting to shine through in this series. I don't think they're that much worse, if not worse at all, than the Raptors or 76ers. This series would be over if Doc could draw up decent plays in crunch time. Last night when the Celtics were going for the tie with around 40 seconds left, the best he could do was Allen attempting to come off a pick for a 3? Come the fuck on. You don't need a 3 there... Garnett was wide open in the key for an easy 2 anyway. Instead, Allen takes a running jump shot with a hand in his face and doesn't even come close.
If Doc was any good at all, this series would've been over a couple days ago. I credit the players for the incredible season they've had to this point...not Doc. So many people up here in Boston are upset that Doc got "snubbed" of the coach of the year award - well, I've got news for them (and even to that extent, it's not really news). He didn't get snubbed because he's not that good. It was the players.
If Doc continues to coach like this, the Cavs will handle the Celtics in round 2, provided that the Celtics win Sunday afternoon. I think they will, because I don't see the Hawks winning away from home, but I'm pretty nervous.

Re: Official NBA thread
Great finish in the works in Detroit, 89-88 Pistons with 3:20 left.

Re: Official NBA thread
That sucks about the malfunctioning clock at the end of the 1st half.

I thought the clock malfunction was at the end of the third quarter when Billups took that 3?
