Re: Official College Basketball Thread
In the post of yours that I quoted...
I underlined and made them red now, too. Just check out my last post before this one.
It's probably something that's going to make me feel very stupid for not realizing.

Red,
Those are money lines, i.e., if you want to bet the game with no point spread.
The number with a minus is the favorite.
The number with the plus is the underdog.
Example:
Duke is -210 vs NC +175 tonight.
So, if you want to bet Duke tonight to just win the game with no point spread, you have to lay $210 to make $100.
Conversely, if you want to bet NC to win the game outright, again, no point spread, you only have to lay $100 and it pays $175 if you win.
Got it?

Re: Official College Basketball Thread
What a game between Duke and UNC. Duke had it up to a 17 point lead in the second (maybe higher, I've been flipping back and forth between the game and Cheap Seats), but as I type this, UNC has stormed back and taken a 5 point lead. 3 Pointer by Reddick, UNC by 2.

Re: Official College Basketball Thread
Ooh boy, a 5 point game with Dockery on the line with about 40 seconds left has turned into a 1 point deficit for UNC with 26.3 left. Some potentially costly mistakes by Dockery and Reddick.
You have to deny Reddick the ball if you're UNC.

Re: Official College Basketball Thread
Duke survives.
The more I see them play, particularly after the BC, FSU, and UNC games, the less I'm worried about possibly having to play them, eventually.

Re: Official College Basketball Thread
duke survives three games in a row and still picks up first place votes from the second spot. they should be losing votes.

Re: Official College Basketball Thread
Yeah, they're Duke, though.
After UConn throttled Indiana (the game wasn't as close as the score indicated) and Duke has struggled, the Huskies should be a fairly unanimous #1.
