Yes, they've been playing SHIT recently, and they've lost 4 out of the last 5. Chelsea will win it, and the league too. Hell, why not the Champions League, they're so fucking rich. They remind me of another team I hate.

Damn you make a good point. Too bad I would get a better contract than you, seeing as how I was on the Varsity team, and how I own ass at it.

Re: Soccer!
No offense to anyone but I hate soccer. It is retarted every game is like 1-0 ive even seen a bunch of 0-0 ties its just stupid. If they made the field about the size of a hockey rink and had like 5 players plus a goalie I think it would be pretty cool but with a huge field and like 10 players? on each team its stupid no one can score or anything its just dumb.
I remember a few years back they had this indoor soccer league exactly like what I'm talking about, I don't know if they still have it or not I mean I never followed it but still that would make it more exciting.
The fact is, soccer will never be really popular in the US its just not going to happen.

I really like the World Cup though. Maybe it's this skewered sense of nationalism, like the Olympics - "WE MUST WIN CURLING!". I mean normally who the fudge cares who can move the Romba-thing across the ice...but then it's this international competition and ya just CAN'T have China, Russia, or North Korea win (kidding...).
That and what type of do Beckham sports, setting the int'l hairdo across every continent except the NA. (Waaaay overrated as a player, I'm glad if soccer doesn't catch on so that I don't have to see his face plastered on Pepsi).
2006 FIFA World Cup Draw:
Group D:
1. Italy
2. Ghana
3. United States
4. Czech Republic
Italy and Czech won't be easy.

Becks is probably the Jeter of soccer. Pretty good player, adored by women for his looks and by men because of his ability.

The U.S. kicking Italy's ass?? Unless Italy started sucking big time, they're not going to be easy.

Adoration is a mild word considering his insane popularity. Imo, David Beckham is overrated, and he's more of the Kournikova of soccer than he is Jeter. He's never captain a team, not even as a schoolboy, and somehow SGE thinks he's the perfect for the job. Whatever. Getting ejected in the '98 quarterfinals.
The U.S. probably can make it of its pool; hopefully Claudio Reyna recovers from his injury.

Re: Soccer!
Beckham's not as good as he used to be, but I still like him.
And I don't know about us kicking Italy's ass, it will be a big task.
