id like to see the pats have a meeting a jamal lewis maybe sometime this week. Hes' only 26 and with Dillon (31) and Faulk (30) getting older, he could be a good option. Its almost certain that either Faulk or Dillon will be injured at one point this year, so having a good third option would be smart. Id also like to see them maybe draft a faulk like running back in the draft. There are a bunch of RB's who are like Faulk in the draft. Taurean Henderson, Jerome Harrison, Andre Hall, DonTrell Moore or Leon Washington are all good options who could be taken in the 4th or 5th round.

The Vikings signed Steve Hutchinson to an offer sheet. The seahawks have 7 days to match the offer which is supposedly a ridiculous amount of money (49 million for 7 years).

Damn fool. I wanted Antwaan here in Philly.

Last offseason Steelers lose Plax, this one Randle El...Cedrick Wilson may have to step up as the #2 if they don't acquire anyone else

Moss, Lloyd, Randle El is a solid WR core. This should help Moss alot now that teams have to worry about 2 other wideouts. Is Brunell still the starting QB in washington? Id like to see Cambell get a shot.

If Hutchinson goes to Minny, they will have a pretty sick o-line. Birk, Hutchinson, Mckinnie would be a huge help to whoevers running the ball for them.

Rams signed Will Witherspoon to a six year deal. He was probably the best LB available

From John Clayton on ESPN.com

Quote:
Denver Broncos -- They've been the most active team of the offseason, re-signing offensive linemen Tom Nalen and Matt Lepsis, defensive ends Courtney Brown and John Engelberger and safeties Sam Brandon and John Lynch They still have almost $11 million of room and want to keep defensive tackle Gerard Warren. If head coach/executive VP Mike Shanahan can work some magic, he might be able to get wide receiver Terrell Owens, running back Jamal Lewis and defensive end John Abraham. Abraham might cost them a first-round draft pick, but he would be worth it. Those additional options might not have been possible if the cap hadn't grown because of the CBA extension.

at 7 years 31 million with 11 million gaurrenteed, it makes it a little easier to say good bye to El. I would have loved to see him stay, but if thats the money he wanted then I have no problem with the Steelers letting him walk.

This will be the biggest mistake of his career, and he'll realize that eventually. Unless of course he's all about the money in which case he'll be very happy. Personally, I'd rather have millions of adoring fans than a few more million dollars. Have fun doing nothing but running routes and catching balls. Have fun no longer being loved by Steeler Nation, and have fun never winning another Super Bowl.

I hope El will be happy in Washington. You went from being an Icon, to a #3 WR ... hope you're happy with you're decision.

Yeah I'll put down the bitter sandwhich now.

Made updates to the FA signings.

Pats made their first move since free agency started, releasing LB Chad Brown. He was a big dissapointment last year.

Jamal Lewis resigned in Baltimore with a 3 year contract that essentially serves as a 1 year contract with options.

There goes that fantasy for the Broncos. Oh well, that probably makes it more likely to go after T.O. and Abraham.

Great move for the Ravens ... getting 2 RBs that do the exact same thing ... good job
