Re: How Stupid Do the Texans Feel?
They are not going to cut him. This is all talk to try and get him to work out.
If they do release him I could definatly see the Steelers trying to make a run at him so they could cut Duce.

I don't think the Texans are that dumb. They are letting DD go, cause he can't stay healthy. Duce has not being healthy copyrighted.

Well it wouldn't make any sense. DD is 10 times the RB Duce is. Why trade a very good young RB who's injury prone, for an old fat RB who's injury prone?

Re: How Stupid Do the Texans Feel?
i never said trade him, they were saying if they drop... I don't think they should trade him, my opinion keep him, he's a good HB i think, i like him. But I really think they should get one from Denver if anything. I could care less about Duce, it was just an thought.

I ment sign not trade sorry.
Just trust me if the Steelers cut Duce no one will sign him unless they're extremely desperate. He makes too much money, and he's never healthy.
Getting a RB from Denver is a horrible idea. Their RBs are successful because of their zone blocking scheme. Clinton Portis has a lot of talent, but a lot of the RBs that came though Denver wouldn't be 2nd stringers on other teams.

Droughns has been successful. It remains to be seen if Mike Anderson will, though. But I do agree... it's the system. Besides, they don't have much that would be worth much to the Texans. Ron Dayne or Mike Bell don't do them any good and Tatum Bell isn't an every down back yet. They'll be among the league leaders in rushing again, but it won't be because they've got the most talented RB's.
I thoroughly believe that great, difference making Defensive Ends are harder to come by than difference making running backs. Football games are won and lost with the offensive and defensive lines.
Domanick Davis will not be cut. You make room on your team for 25 year old RB's that have been as good as he has.

Re: How Stupid Do the Texans Feel?
Did anyone watch that video of Noel Devine? It's the last post on page 1. You may have missed it because MC Hammer responded and started a new page on this thread kind of quickly after I posted that link.

Re: How Stupid Do the Texans Feel?
I don't think Davis will be playing for awhile. He had knee surgery and his knee just isn't responding. But trading him to Pittsburgh for Staley is a terrible idea. Staley is over the hill, while Davis is still has a lot of potential though his knee is really hurting that potentia. He might have another surgery if the knee still doesn't respond.

The High School I went to freshman year Central Catholic(currently ranked 8th in the country) had 2 of the best athlete's I've ever seen at RB ... both of them did things like those shown in that video every week ... and neither ended up being anything.
While it's cool to see these kids in High School 90% of them wont make it.

Well, the kid's work ethic is insane. In February of 2005, when he was a junior in high school and had just turned 16, he had a bench press of 330 pounds. His incline was 225 pounds. How many high school running backs can do that?
Not to mention that Deion Sanders adopted the kid. He has future star written all over him.

Hey I'm not saying he won't be a star. I'm just saying for every 1 kid like this that makes it there are 100 that don't.
Plus he's coming up to the biggest time in his life for change. Who knows if he'll still have that kinda work ethic when he's 20.

Yeah, I just learned that he's already the father of 2 children at age 18 He also has to work to get himself academically eligible before he can pick a college. He's deciding between the likes of Pitt, Miami, FSU, Nebraska...
