Sad day for this once proud franchise.

John York seems determined to drive away every fan. Not many owners in professional sports are worse.

If they move to Santa Clara they are still in the same area. Is he that bad a guy for moving the team 30 miles away? Its the eqivilent to the Patriots moving 30 miles away from Boston to Foxboro in 1971.

Santa Clara's has turned down proposals for two teams to move there because they want their city in the teams name.

If they move to Santa Clara, there's a chance they become the Santa Clara 49ers. Anywhere else and they certainly take on the cities name.

Los Angeles 49ers? No thank you.

We're talking about one of the teams with the proudest history in the league -- the 1971 Patriots... not so much.

In 1971 none of New England wanted them.

After the year Joe Kapp had in 1970, and what we paid him, who could blame us.
