Sucks for RAC, I wish Cleveland could have gotten in.

This comes one day after FOX Sports reported that the players and other employees informed team owner Steve Biscotti that Billick had completely lost the locker room and could not win them back.

Re: 2007 NFL Season
I suppose we can just use this thread for the playoffs. Seahawks-Redskins is now, both teams' first drive went without score.

Re: 2007 NFL Season
back earlier in the year the skins coaches gagged late in the game by calling a t/o when they had none and instead of buff kicking a 50+ fg to win they were inside 40...
inexcusable and so very unbecomig of a joe gibbs squad
now look at them
this is the 2nd best coach ever in my opinion and his half time adjustments are better than anyones....
so we have holmgren and the hawks up 13 and getting the ball to start the 2nd half
should be a safe ride into the next round you wouild think right?
ya
well the hawks are reeling
now seattle is down 14-13 and just escaped a blown kickoff return with the skins kicker shanking a 30yrd bunny...down the stretch we go and in a 1 point game i'll take gibbs and his inferior team against the hawks at home....
coaching in the nfl is far and away more essential than in any other sport
some guys are perrenial contenders and some guys cant win with the deck stacked in their favor time and time again
schottenheimer was the best coach in nfl history between august and xmas
come round 2 of the playoffs the man turned into a craven fairy and no matter what his decisions were,be it conservative or aggressive play calling he'd be wrong.
bud grant won 4 nfc titles and lost 4 superbowls
marv levy 4 afc titles and went winless but in fairness to marv the only 1 he really shouldve won was against the giants in 91--the other 3 he was a huge dog in..
dungee won last year but with rex grossmans play it was easy
he left tampa and they got over the hump the following year.
he was a candidate for the gag award till then
bill cowher got the monkey off his back but he had the luxury of jeremy stevens and mike holmgren on the other side of the ball that year.
chuck knox was in a shitload of nfc title games with the rams and never got to the big game
seattle went in and is up 7
skins by 3 in ot i predict and i like the steelers at home tonite
good luck to all

Re: 2007 NFL Season
Yikes, I thought the Redskins were going to win for sure, especially once they recovered the kickoff and had it in the red zone. I stopped watching and came back later when the Hawks scored their last TD and was astonished. Seahawks at Packers in the 2nd round.
Steelers had an awesome opening march down the field and then the Jags tie it up on 2 plays, 7-7, 6 minutes in.

Re: 2007 NFL Season
Pittsburgh can go ahead and thank the refs on that Pass Interference call... that should've been on Hines Ward.
Would've been smart if Brian Williams just took a dive and gone to the ground... they might've gotten the call if he had.

Re: 2007 NFL Season
Ballgame. Jaguars win. Garrard with a 30+ yard run on 4th and 2 sets up a chip shot for Scobee. Glad the Jags won it.

Re: 2007 NFL Season
I thought the Steelers got screwed on the 2 pt converison...didn't see a hold on the guy they named for the infraction. After that call I was pulling for them.
But when Ward grabbed the facemask and the Jags got flagged, I quickly shifted to the Jags.
Glad they got it done.
BTW, do the past 2 yrs show that the Steelers SB win was more a fluke than anything else?

Re: 2007 NFL Season
Damn Ryan Grant, how are you feeling right now? In the first minute/9 seconds he fumbles the ball twice. Seahawks have capitalized and lead it early 14-0

Game didn't go so well for GB in the first 3 minutes, but they can easily come back.
