In fairness, let's face it...as a team the Colts are not that good. Period. I'm not sure Brady could even win a SB with them right now.

I think you misread the post.

I didn't say that Brady couldn't win with last year's Colts. I said that this Colts team might not win even with Brady at QB. This year. Now. Ya know, today?

The 2007-2008 Colts were not nearly as strong, as a TEAM, as last year. They've dropped off, for whatever reason.

Injury. No Harrison for most of the season, no Freeney for half.

True. I also think teams are catching up to the Colts offensive schemes.

peyton manning beat rex grossman last year in the superbowl.
grossman was the worst qb ever to play in the big game since norris weese came in against dallas back in the days of craig morton and the orange crush.

outside that victory the boy is a career underachiever when it comes to winning and dare i say grossman was responsible for more colt points than manning was in that game.

1 1st down last january and we would be discussing manning in the same terms as dan fouts...he got his,the league is happy and now he can get back to his more productive career making commercials in hollywood with the other bag biters.

I wonder if anyone in Pacman's inner circle ever told him it would be good to stear clear of strip clubs?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3197653

Quote:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman is seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her at an Atlanta strip club.

Fulton County Magistrate Court officals told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a Jan. 3 altercation at the Body Tap Strip Club.

Jackson, an attorney, says she was in the club's office when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money and bracelet.

Jackson said Jones lunged at her numerous times and then "sucker punched" her in the left eye.

Jackson did not immediately return a phone message requesting comment. Jones' attorney Manny Arora said no warrant has been issued against Jones.

Last month Jones pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge related to a strip club shooting in Las Vegas last February that left one man paralyzed. He agreed to a year of probation, random drug testing, community service and anger management classes.

Jones has been arrested six times since being drafted sixth overall in 2005, including two arrests in Georgia in 2006 that the Titans did not learn about until 2007.

In April, Jones was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for the entire 2007 season for his role in inciting the Las Vegas incident.

At the time of his suspension, one of the changes Jones told Goodell he intended to make was to stay out of clubs and to avoid situations in which he might be compromised. Goodell has said that he has apprised Jones that he will ultimately be judged by his actions, not his words.

In mid-December, the NFL rejected an appeal by the players' union on behalf of Jones to have him reinstated for the final two games of the regular season.

Dale N Holley were playing clips of Polian's radio show today in which he was complaining because there were not enough 'delay of game' penalties called on the chargers this weekend. What's funny is that a couple years ago the NFL competition committee (which Polian headed up) decided to be more lenient on the DOG penalties since they felt there were too many being called.

It's asinine that he's complaining about the refs in the game after what the refs did to the chargers..

Losing a guy like Harrison does that to people.

My feeling is that the disparity between Brady and Manning is not as substantial as the disparity between the Pats and the Colts.

The Patriots are a FAR better TEAM than the Colts, from the coach on down, IMO.

I disagree that they're far better. The Colts damn near beat them without their hall of fame Wide Reciever -- in fact, if they didn't get a bit conservative offensively (in my opinion) they might've beaten them. Colts defense was best, or close to, in the league in total scoring and they came out of the best division in football. The Patriots defense isn't near as good as their numbers indicate, and were made to look better by the fact that teams had to get one dimensional and ditch the run once the Pats' leads grew.
