A bit quick to jump on the "future ace" bandwagon, but he could be. The stuff is there. If he holds it together, we could have a real stud on our hands. The way he's pitching he could finish the season in Pawtucket. Although, there's no need to rush him.

By the way, he has 22 K's and 0 walks in 10 innings while allowing only 4 hits and 1 run.

No one ever talks about this guy, but I think that out of all the pitchers in our system, Sanchez will be the one who will end up having the best MLB career. He's only 21, is 6-1 with a 2.40 ERA, and has 89 K's and 23 BB. The other day he pitched a 7 inning 1 hitter for Wilmington.

Sweet. Where does our farm system rank nowadays anyway? And where will they rank should we sign our top draft picks this year?

Yeah, we had a horrendous farm team a couple of years ago. Theo did a great job building it back up.

Our scouting and development has changed drastically in the past several years.

5 years ago we had absolute trash in our farm system. We are now bordering on a GREAT farm system.

He left the game with a hand/wrist injury. I don't have any other details yet. I'd assume they shut him down for the year and start him off in AA next year with a quick call up to AAA, or they may go ahead and promote him to Pawtuckett to start next year.
