well melky and cano are in the list also

Anyway it would seem far-fetched that Buchholz was near Hughes earlier this year but looking at him right now I dont think its a stretch at all. Buchholz is dominating.

How will that compare against:

Santana, Wang, Mussina, Hughes and Pettitte

wang is overated , you'll be lucky if his ERA is below 4.50 this year

wang's oponants BA was 277 and hits per 9 IP was 9.60 , he was in jams all the time and got lucky to always get out of it , thats not gonna keep happening jacko

When did Santana become a Yankee? I'm confused.

How will Santana, Wang, Mussina, Hughes and Pettitte compare agains:

Matsuzaka, Beckett, Peavy, Lester, Buchholz?

It seems like a weird question to ask a700

This statement is as ridiculous as a Yankee fan posting:

My answer is the same to both. It ain't gonna happen,.

He'll get $20-$25 million annually.

The Yankees will pay it.

Jeez I dont think you should be allowed to join in celebrating when these studs get some Ws up here in the majors for us. So Im guessing you think Bucholz is a Kyle Snyder in waiting

I'll be happy if one of these guys is holding down a rotation spot 2 to 3 years from now on a play-off contender. Your expectations are a bit unrealistic. When is the last time the Red Sox had 3 homegrown effective starters in the rotation? The odds are really long that we will ever see all 3 holding down spots for the Sox. I'll be happy if one makes it.

So its best to think that every prospect that they draft will never start in the bigs?

Why must you view everything in an all or nothing fashion?

Because you shoot every single prospect down, even Pedroia whos been carrying a hot bat as late and been flashing some nice leather. You like Ellsbury but would still like the Sox to bypass him and sign a free agent center fielder. Sorry I dont think that Bucholz can be disregarded so quickly
