He was pitching well so far but injuries are part of the game and I don't have the info yet on how he got hurt or what type of injury it is. |

Starting pitcher Clay Buchholz, suffering with a straining oblique muscle, was placed on the seven-day disabled list retroactive to April 15. He is expected to miss at least two starts.

Clay Buchholz will be starting tomorrow against the Rome Braves. It will be his first start since April 18 as he comes off the disabled list from a strained oblique.

I think his ETA is probably mid-2009. With his stops at each minor league level looking like:
Greenville- 2006
Wilmington & Portland- 2007
Portland & Pawtucket- 2008
Pawtucket & Boston- 2009

He will likely be promoted sometime within the next month. He will help Wilmington who clinched the first half title in their quest for the Carolina League title.
