Nothing really. He is still in High A ball but he has the stuff to become one I believe. His secondary pitches are very good.

They aren't a great example of why we should trade the farm for proven vets considering one of their proven vets has stunk up the joint for us this year while our former prospects have shined. Think man, think.

CLAY BUCHHOLZ UPDATE:
Got this from my source not too long ago. He said that Clay met with Theo today and he told Clay if they make it to the next series he would allow Clay to pitch. Clay then went into the clubhouse and saw his name on the board in the championship rotation. The Sox FO has decided to let him exceed his 125 innings limit into the championship series if they get there.

I figured, just making sure.
That's very cool. I didn't think Theo has his hands in things that far down. I wonder how often he meets with A-level players...

Re: Clay Buchholz
Yup we did change it over there after alot of complaints that Buchholz has a much better fastball than Bronson ever will have.

Re: Clay Buchholz
Wilmington's season come's to an end tonight but I have been told that Buchholz is likely getting promoted to Portland if they get to the EL championship series.

Re: Clay Buchholz
Scratch that on Clay going to Portland. Just got an email from my source who spoke with Buchholz right before he sent me an email. He said Clay is catching a flight out of Philly first thing in the morning and will be back in Texas by 1:00pm. Clay also had a long talk with Theo and Theo told him how proud he was of Clay and he can't wait to see him at instructional and looks forward to seeing him come back stronger for 07.

That's pretty cool though. THere is no need to over use the guy. He really did have a good season. I imagine that another year like that one and they will be talking about this guy as a top prospect for sure.
At this point I would say he and Bowden seem about equal, with Bowden being considerably younger. Two good pitchers.
I have to ask again, where the hell is Edgar Martinez? Why can't he pitch for the sox?
