Josh Papelbon
It might be a crapshoot, or even a favor, but still the Sox saw something in him to use a pick on him. Last season he had visited at Fenway where our Paps introduced him to the submariner Chad Bradford. In which he was given advice during that encounter. If healthy and steadily brought up, he could be a decent reliever or a solid righty specialist like Chad was for Boston.

Re: Josh Papelbon
I'll root for the guy but he really doesn't deserve his own prospect page.....the only he has one is because of his name.

2 innings does not quantify a season.

Re: Josh Papelbon
Yeah, because when you think of 'guys you want your new pitchers to emulate' Chad Bradford leaps immideately to mind.

If a 48 round pick becomes a major leaguer than thats great results and if he has an ERA under 4 than even better. The bradford we saw was the guy who came of the DL after half a season on the DL and was just a shell of his former self. Bradford was once a top set-up man a couple years back, if Josh could become that id be happy but if he doesnt, oh well.
