Re: Edgar Martinez
this guy is good, last year Peter Gammons was mentioning him in the same sentences as Delcarmen, Hansen, Lester and Paps. Obviously, Paps and Lester are all much better, but still he is a top 10 Sox prospect right now.

Re: Edgar Martinez
I don't think we'll see him until next year, but I guess theres a chance he could end up getting a cup of coffee this year.

Re: Edgar Martinez
With the way the Sox pitchers are going down, maybe we will see him this year.

Re: Edgar Martinez
Edgar is on the 40-man roster. I'm pretty sure that means that he has to come up in september

Re: Edgar Martinez
No, that means the Sox have to put him on it in order to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. Being on the 40-man doesn't mean you have to be called up in Sept. It just means you are eligible to come up and play. Don't get me wrong, he will be with the team because the MiLB season is complete, but he doesn't have to be.
