Re: SeaDogs make the playoffs
I think once the dogs are done, We should call up Ellsbury, to see what he can do. The guy is fast as shit and is a pretty good hitter as well.

No we shouldn't. Don't start his arbitration clock yet when it obvious francona won't even play him.

*cough* Wily Mo *cough*
Back to sitting on the bench I see. If the wind was blowing out toward center field, his ground rule double wouldve def been a pinch hit 3-run HR
About Portland, good seeing this Sox team as well as the GCL make it to the playoffs and succeed. Also good to hear that Kottaras hadnt wasted any time and delivered a 2-run HR in one of the recent games

Re: SeaDogs make the playoffs
Portland making the playoffs is good and all but they don't even have the number of up and coming prospects as the GCL team had.

Re: SeaDogs make the playoffs
I'm mostly keeping my eyes on Kottaras and Ellsbury, for what its worth.
Ellsbury is probably my favorite prospect at this point.

Re: SeaDogs make the playoffs
Portland takes a 1-0 lead in the championship series over Akron. Devern Hansack pitched 7 shutout innings and Jacoby Ellsbury and Brandon each had 2 hits apiece. Big Edgar closed it out as the Seadogs ended up holding on 4-3.

I wonder if more guys on the Sea Dogs end up as major league regulars, High School baseball coaches, or gas station attendants. My money is on High School baseball coaches.
