"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.
"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Actually I'm all for keeping this outfield intact for as long as possible.

These two apparently opposing statements are alas likely to prove compatible.
I have been one of Jackie's biggest critics. Never really saw what other people have seen in him in the past. But, having said that, I think it is far too easy to get on him now. I think he will come around, he's made me look like an asshole before. Don't trade him.
"It happens to everybody, man. He's had 60 at-bats. A couple of years ago, I had 60 at-bats, and I was hitting .170, and everyone was ready to kill me, too. And what happened? Laser show. So, relax."
There is really no mention in this thread of trading Bradley for anything, so is this just about getting rid of home?
Not sure why the OP thinks the Sox are "screwed" if Bradley doesn't hit, either. Especially since he's the one guy who contributes the most without hitting...
