Yeah, I was happy for Verlander too.

It's about time Verlander got a break in life.

    Same for Beltran and Reddick.
"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Was that the guy who had a cologne or purfum named after him?

Because I remember that guy being fugly.

Although this discussion has turned ugly.
Well the Bible does say that we should not be judgmental.

Still, there are some brutally unattractive people.

    Oh my Gawd!

I have always prided myself being able to remember useless things!

That guy made me look away when he was on the mound. He should have been issued a paper bag when coming into the game.

Willie McGee was famously nicknamed "E.T."

But how does this discussion get this long with no mention of Randy Johnson?

I think it was Howard Cosell who first called him that.

I am happy for McCann too.

I'm happy for the Astros and the city of Houston. They deserved the win.

I feel bad for the Dodgers. It was a hard fought series.

Congrats to the 2017 WS Champion houston astros.

that now leaves, Washington, Texas, Colorado, and Seattle as the only orgs without a parade....
And of those, only Washington and Seattle have never been to the dance.
