Ok, 180 sounds like our mark then. I think he will be above that mark.

Lester-165 regular season innings, if the Sox are in the PO, then add 20 inning for the PO.

Buchholz- 150 regular season innings(Major and or minor league), 20 innings for PO.

That will put them in the Sox range of innings they want plus have both for the PO.

ok, i think its defiently time to give lester 185-200 innings i think hes way ready for it. and as for Buchholz we might want to watch the innings i think he will be in the 165-180 range.

Projections:

Buchholz: 4.30 ERA, 175 IP, 167 SO, and we will go 13-7

Lester: 4.37 ERA, 192 IP, 155 SO, and he will go 14-8

After reading about Bartolo Colon's latest bullpen session, I'm starting to get the feeling he may start with the team this season. We will get a better feel once he pitches in his first spring training game but I guess he was locating and throwing all of his pitches. If that is the case I don't think Tavarez, Snyder, or Buchholz will be in the rotation come the start of the season.

I still think Clay Buchholz is going to have a great year but I'm all for starting him in AAA. I'd like to see him limited in innings pitched for the first 2-4 months and be ready to rock for the second part of the season. Let him get his mechanics straightened out, his arm strength up, and some real confidence dominating in AAA.

So far this spring I've heard nothing but good observations from John Farrell regarding Bartolo Colon. This may turn out better than I originally thought.

Yeah if you average his change, slider, and fastball together.

from rotoworld...

Bartolo Colon yielded a run over two innings against the Rays in his spring debut on Thursday.

Colon peaked at 94 mph in the game, though he was generally 4-5 mph below that with his fastball. It was still an encouraging first outing for a guy who didn't throw much during February. He could be an option for the Red Sox as soon as mid-April.

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Bartolo Colon was hitting 94 miles per hour, throwing 92-93 consistently with his four-seam fastball, 84-88 with his slider, and 81 on his changeup, according to a scout's radar gun yesterday. In his heyday, Colon could reach 100 m.p.h.

Did he display enough command to, say, hit ARod in the ribs with a 94 MPH fastball?
