I think that depends mostly on who is going to fill his spot. Who would be the candidate for the fifth starter position?

Bartolo Colon when he's done with his rehab work

When is that, the 23rd? I'd like to see Colon in a game or two before we make a decision on that.

Well its going to be a little while at least because in his most recent start he only threw 49 pitches, although he did so with good velocity. I could be wrong but I believe that he has an option to opt out of his contract if hes not with the team by June 1st

Could you not also make the case that it would be best if we saw what kind of stuff he has at the major league level?

Numbers in isolation are meaningless. I try to put numbers into context and use them for analysis of a sport which I perceive that we both love--pardon if they remain just numbers, not metrics of triumph and anguish, victory and defeat.

I grew up with severe ADD (thats obvious) and a fear of numbers. I'll get there. I've been too busy to put together any well thought out baseball arguements lately anyhow, I've got a 30 page paper on mental rotation (neurobiological correlates during mental rotation to be specific - aaaannnd i kinda wanna change majors) due at the end of may. woo hoo

After watching Colon do his work there I think Clay should go back down soon. He hasn't been pitching well and Colon is a vet who has been doing his work. Clay needs more time imo.
