Re: Official 2009-2010 Hot Stove season thread
"Facepalm" smiley is not happening. It will just lead to people quoting posts and posting the smiley, negating any actual discussion and replacing it with pointless back and forth.
Sorry.

So back to the topic at hand.... I believe my new avatar explains one direction I would like the Sox to go this off season.

Offense.
Stop it with Felix.

we really just need to retool a little better on the bullpen. and if we could get felix it would be a good replacement for the wake.

I'm sure you would love to sweep him under the rug, but my bet is that we'll see a lot of his name over the next few months.
Offense: yes.
Pitching stud: yes.
This team needs lots of help if it ever wants to be anything other than a road-game-playing Wild Card team.

The bullpen is the one thing that doesn't need fixing.
And we can't get both Felix and a true cleanup hitter.

Great pitching > Great hitting
I'm not saying the offense should be ignored at all though. It needs to be addressed as well.
I'll take one of Fielder, AG or Hanley for sure

Yes, because our great display of OFFENSIVE PROWESS certainly wasn't the reason why we lost to the Angels, man.
