Who do you want in the outfield?
Not sure if someone was thinking of doing this, but I figured it would be something fun to do while we wait for the next move to be made, plus I'm curious who everyone would choose, considering I've seen a lot of "votes" for both Hamilton and Swisher in the offseason threads.

Voted Swish.

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
Cody Ross. The question asked specifically about outfield, so I ignored pitching even though it is a glaring weakness. The others have not proven they can play outfield for Boston like Ross has.

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
Swisher.
Because Hamilton is too pricey, and Swisher is a better all-round player than Ross or Victorino.
I do like Cody though, and in a perfect world we'd sign him AND Swisher AND get some good pitching in....

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
Having Ross and Gomes on the roster is a waste of payroll. I hate Swisher, but that's my vote.

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
Voting Hamilton just for fun. It's starting to sound like they might be in on him for real.

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
I voted pitching.
But I had posted this in another thread and I think it is relevant-- Whoever the Red Sox get for RF needs to make sense for the team, and needs to be reasonably priced.

Hamilton 2011-- 4.1 WAR, 2012 4.4 WAR
Swisher 2011-- 3.8 WAR, 2012 3.9 WAR
Victorino 2011-- 5.9 WAR, 2012 3.3 WAR
Bourn 2011 -- 4.1 WAR, 2012 6.1 WAR

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
But, in all seriousness. I would like to see Nick Swisher in right field. I think he brings the same attitude as Johnny Gomes does, funny and loosey-goosey. We need more of that attitude on this team.

The thought of Gomes and Swish in the outfield at the same time is not so funny.

Could be no more funny than WMB throwing across the diamond to Napoli.

Re: Who do you want in the outfield?
Seems like Hamiltom only get 4 year, I'll be ok with that.
