How do you refer to one player on the sox? A red sox player, a red sock, or just a red sox. Everyone always has difficulty with this, so maybe we could institute a board-wide policy for some fun?  Heck, maybe it'll eventually be accepted as the norm. I say: Red Sock.

I always type Red Sock, then delete it and type "Red Sox player". It is really annoying though. It doesn't work like it does with other teams.

i just try to make myself not sound like an idiot and say i like that one player who plays for the sox, not i like that red sock/sox player

I believe it is Red Sox, although I generally say "Red Sox player" to cover myself.
