Shea Hillenbrand likely to be traded again
Hey,
Looks like Hillenbrand may be traded. any takers???
He's been really outspoken about being traded. He was pissed that he wasn't in the lineup after he was in another city adopting a baby with his wife. At today's game there was a 90 minute closed door meeting and on the lineup card in the dugout his name was crossed out in red marker. Needless to say he wasn't playing tonight either. Players sitting out are always market in yellow highlighter (for this club anyways).
Jays need a number 5 man in their rotation. wonder who needs the hitting....
Hillenbrand's been good...but his attitude is kind of an issue

His attitude kind of lingers here...
Didn't he call Theo a "fag" on the way out?

Re: Shea Hillenbrand likely to be traded again
Crazier things have happened. Even after he left Boston, he still had a soft spot for the Sox and mentioned wishing to end his career here. I highly doubt we go after him but like I said, crazier things have happened.

i didn't see the one from a few months ago, but i'm sure this source is more credible and is not just a wish. look for him to be traded in the next week or so... The Jays need to clear up a few million more for a pitcher, so... some of their offense is expendable right now.

Id say a competitor like the Tigers or Angels might come calling

Shea Hillenbrand criticized Blue Jays management on Wednesday and indicated that he expected to be traded.
"I love my teammates here, but I'm waiting to be traded," he said. "I should have been traded two months ago." Hillenbrand was upset that nobody in Toronto's front office congratulated him for adopting a baby girl last weekend. "They wonder why they are not winning," he said. "It's the atmosphere." It's a wonder that anyone would want such an unremarkable hitter with no remaining defensive value who has always made more headlines with his mouth than with his play. Although at least he didn't question J.P. Ricciardi's sexuality during his latest rant.

Re: Shea Hillenbrand likely to be traded again
Maybe the Sox should pick up Shea to play 1st. It won't cost a prospect or a player. They could move the slumping Youklis for a starter. With his high OBP, he should command a pretty good starter--- maybe Smoltz. Shea could always hit, and he can hit Mo too.

your not gonna get smoltz for youkilis ever. braves are creaping back in the race everyday and i wouldn't be shocked to see them grab the WC which nobody seems to want in the NL. Jays will trade Hillenbrand first before he ever gets a chance to come back to boston.

Re: Shea Hillenbrand likely to be traded again
The Red Sox probably have ZERO interest in Hillenbrand. Besides, why would we want Hillenbrand? No glove, and we'll have him when his numbers start to fade.

The 10 days could pass without a trade. Look the Sox couldn't swing a deal for a left reliever, Embree and he ended up with the Yankees. It could happe, especially given Hillebrands bad rep.
