In ten years, every baseball team will be comprised of guys named Izturis and Molina.

    - From the 2004 ALCS Game 4 Gamethread. A reminder that no game is over until the final out is recorded, and things will always get better. Misspellings unchanged as a reminder that Yankees fans are just terrible.

Maybe he'll give back the $260,909 that his 4.1 IP cost the team then? I'm sure he will.

Also notorious for being bad in the playoffs, particularly against the Red Sox.

As long as said challenge is smothered liberally in barbeque sauce or mint jelly.

Has there been a season where fans are more excited to see their team beat the Yankees? I mean, they've had some pretty unlikable teams in the past, but adding 400m worth of FAs really makes it fun to root against them.

Even the ladies... at least, that's what I've heard. He likes his ladies covered in BBQ sauce and slow roasted. Or old. Old enough that their skin falls right off the bone. <_< Ewwww

Joe Morgan calling the Boys and Girls Club, "The Boys Club" really makes me uncomfortable. It's creepy.

Well, Sabathia just couldn't control his fastball today, which was ultimately his downfall. You would have expected that 3-2 pitch to Scott with the bases loaded to have been a fastball, and I think it is very telling that it wasn't. The YES announcers were trying to play up some kind of injury based on him using a heating pad between innings, but I'm guessing it was more that he just pitched poorly. There doesn't need to always be an excuse.

Big home run there from Matsui puts them right back in the game. Good stuff.
