Thread: First week suprises...

  1. #1
It's been (about) a week of Major League Baseball Action, and there's been many surprises. I'd have to say, the biggest Team suprises have been the Tigers and Brewers, both off to great starts. Players-wise, I'd have to say Charles Johnson, who's tearing it up.

The Tigers have been a surprise, but we know they wont keep it up. What surprised me was the fact that many aces had trouble on opening day (mussina (twice) and halladay most notably).

I think it's evident that nothing is very certain this year. Detroit look like they'll win 80+ games, but I don't know how long they'll play this well.

the thing i love about this year is how much baseball has changed all over.... i mean the tigers are 5-1 and brewers are 4-3 getting off to a hott start... the mariners were 0-5 now 1-5... i mean baseball has a different look which makes this year look to be one of the best ever..... atleast for now the first week or so into the season

Those are the stats from a year ago. Kansas city, as we all remember, got off to a 10-0 start. There are other surprises there as well (Seattle 5-6, Pittsburgh 7-4). It just goes to show how stats one week into the season really have no bearing on the rest of the season. These stats are after about 11 games played for each team, so it is more even as more games were played.
