Traveler Jacko Pumpkin Shandy is fucking outstanding.
I usually turn my nose up at such offerings but this is one really tasty beer.

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
I recently tried a grapefruit shandy made by Harpoon that's going to be my favorite summertime drink this year.
You know what - regular beer as in Bud (note not light) works for me still. It is good for me!

I'll be in good old Portland Maine for the next few days........
Hope to wash down a few Geary's Hampshire Ales.......
Lot's of new stuff out of Portland........... I'll need to try a few.
Any of you have tricks on transporting beers other than wrapping them with clothes in a suitcase? I've never had anything bust on me, I've carried multiple wine bottles across the globe. But each time I do is scares me shitless because I don't want to ruin the clothes they travel with.

Lol.
This reminds me of my first trip to St. Petersburg, Russia. I discovered Cristal Lemon vodka. Unbelievably tasty and 80 proof!!! Typical Russian vodka burn on the finish which is what I liked.
Anyway, I believe there was a 3 liter limit on how much one could bring back into the country. I had five bottles ( You know, the Russian Stolli 750 bottles ) which I had impulsively purchased at the airport in Russia. They were in one of those plastic bags with plastic handles attached at the top.
I made it through customs at Logan ( I even declared all five bottles ). Then while walking down a tarrazo hallway approaching the non-secure area of the International Terminal, the handle on my suitcase broke which led me to shift the plastic bag. It ruptured! All 5 bottles of vodka went rolling around on the floor. None broke! The security guard rolled his eyes but made no effort to stop me as I gathered my contraband.
That was the second best vodka I have ever tasted.
"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.
"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
