Hey, that was an RBI narrowly avoiding a DP. Give the next Miguel Cabrera his due.Originally Posted by Coco's Disciples;433270;

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
ESPN2 but I think its in a rain delay now.
Who is everyone piggybacking for the home run derby? I'm going to take Carlos Pena.
Mauer
WAR is good for something.
Game back on, Neftali Feliz pitching. Go watch him.

Kelly looked pretty good.
Yeah, it wasn't like he was blowing anybody away but you have to love his potential. Those were 3 AA all-stars he was going up against and he shut them down. I liked the curveball and he didn't really feature his changeup. Once he adds some more muscle, he should see a solid 2-3 increase in his fastball velocity. It worked for Lester.Originally Posted by WhiskeyBreath;433506;
Can't wait for Kelly to be up with us in a few years.
Well deserved, although I am disappointed...Halladay to Start All-Star Game for AL

ST. LOUIS -- The pitcher most in the news over the past week will start for the American League in Tuesday's All-Star Game.
A major league source confirmed to FanHouse that Roy Halladay will get the nod for the AL. The selection is to be made public Monday by manager Joe Maddon.
Halladay has been the subject of speculation since Toronto general manager J.P. Ricciardi revealed earlier this month he would listen to offers for his ace, who is 10-3 with a 2.85 ERA.
One executive from another AL team said Sunday he doesn't expect Halladay to be traded because of what the Blue Jays seek in return. According to the executive, once an interested team tells Toronto that any prospect is "off-limits," that effectively ends the discussion. That matches what a source told FanHouse last week, that "it's almost got to be like a [Erik] Bedard deal [or] Dan Haren."

That's absurd....Greinke has been MUCH better...nobody has even been on his level. You HAVE to be kidding me.
I figured Greinke would start, i mean its not that Halladay isnt deserving but Greinke has been un-fucking-stoppable.

It should have been Greinke, without a doubt. I mean, with his numbers, it's not even a competition, the best man starts the All-Star game, and that is Greinke.
