    Re: Midseason Draft Round 1: #2 YRTB vs #7 Suns

    C Carlos Santana << Joe Mauer
    1B Joey Votto >> Billy Butler
    2B Robinson Cano >> Jose Lopez
    3B Evan Longoria > Michael Young 5-2
    SS Alexei Ramirez push Jose Reyes
    RF Nelson Cruz >> Jose Tabata
    CF Alex Rios < Josh Hamilton
    LF Carlos Gonzalez >> Adam Jones
    DH Paul Konerko push Vladimir Guerrero 9-3

    1. Adam Wainwright > Ubaldo Jimenez
    2. David Price > Justin Verlander
    3. Mat Latos push Jered Weaver
    4. John Danks >> Ricky Nolasco
    5. Tim Hudson > Carl Pavano 14-3

    LR Ervin Santana > Carlos Zambrano
    MR Sergio Romo >> Chad Qualls
    MR Mike Adams > Frank Herrman
    SU Evan Meek > JJ Putz
    SU Hong Chi Kuo > Chris Perez
    CL Andrew Bailey push Heath Bell 20-3

    I win in an absolute blowout, my pitching, starting and relief, absolutely dominates his, he doesn't beat me in a single matchup there, my hitting is better as well, he only beats me at catcher and CF there. His lineup has a speedy #1 and some solid power hitter 3-6, but mine has speed all over it, with a lot of 5 tool players like Evan Longoria, Carlos Gonzalez, Joey Votto, Nelson Cruz, and Alex Rios, and I have power 1-7 and a lot of speed scattered through the lineup

    My defense also dominates, UZR is a sabermetric stat that values range of a player in comparison to other players of their position and the plays they make, a + UZR is the number of runs that player has saved with their defense. Over the last couple of years, Evan Longoria, Alexei Ramirez, Nelson Cruz, Alex Rios have had UZR's through the roof. Robinson Cano is having a gold glove caliber season, Carlos gonzalez is playing a good left field, joey votto is improving at first base, and Carlos Santana has thrown out a good percentage of runners from the plate

    Overall, I think my team wins this matchup by a lot

    Are we factoring benches into the equation?

    I factor in benches only if it's an extremely close matchup and I don't really factor it in much, maybe a couple points either way

    I think this is really close due to Suns having a great rotation, but I'm going to go with YRTB due to his lineup and bullpen advantage.

    I'd normally do a position by position analysis, but I'll save it for a closer battle. In this case, Ytrb has the better team.

    3. Mat Latos <Jered Weaver
    4. John Danks push Ricky Nolasco
    5. Tim Hudson <Carl Pavano

    SU Evan Meek > JJ Putz
    SU Hong Chi Kuo <Chris Perez
    CL Andrew Bailey <Heath Bell

    I win because I have the speed in my lineup, the power, and pitching and the bullpen.
    He has a catcher is batting in the .240 range and isn't that good defensively...Joe mauer is good at both defense and average. Adam Jones is good hitter so my 2-6 are all good power hitters with my leadoff guy a speedy one. Carl Pavano had back back back to back CGs earlier in the season...Heath Bell is one of the reasons the Padres are winning close games...Chris Perez has been good all year and part of last. I think I dominate this matchup. This is the past 2 years so Jered Weaver dominates Mat Latos.

    Re: Midseason Draft Round 1: #2 YRTB vs #7 Suns

    Screw it, here we go.

    Carlos Santana << Joe Mauer
    Joey Votto > Billy Butler
    Robinson Cano > Jose Lopez
    Evan Longoria > Michael Young
    Alexei Ramirez < Jose Reyes
    Nelson Cruz > Jose Tabata
    Alex Rios < Josh Hamilton
    Carlos Gonzalez > Adam Jones
    Paul Konerko < Vlad Guerrero

    Total Offense: Ytrb 5, Suns 4

    Starting Pitching:

    Adam Wainwright > Ubaldo Jimenez
    David Price > Justin Verlander
    Mat Latos = Jered Weaver
    John Danks > Ricky Nolasco
    Tim Hudson > Carl Pavano

    Total Starting Pitching: Ytrb 4, Suns 0

    Bullpen:

    Ervin Santana < Carlos Zambrano (I DQ'ed Ytrb on this one because Santana hasn't had any relief roles)
    Sergio Romo > Chad Qualls
    Mike Adams > Frank Hermann
    Evan Meek > JJ Putz
    Hong Chi Kuo > Chris Perez
    Andrew Bailey < Heath Bell

    Total Bullpen: Ytrb 4, Suns 2

    Total Ytrb 13, Suns 6 (Although technically, it's 14-5)

    Re: Midseason Draft Round 1: #2 YRTB vs #7 Suns

    Suns, have you been doing too much DOPE?

    3B Evan Longoria <Michael Young WTF, Longoria is easily the best 3B in the majors, offensively and defensively, Young can't field for his life and he wasn't even that good last year
    SS Alexei Ramirez <Jose Reyes Reyes hasn't been good since 2008, Ramirez has been solid the last three years
    LF Carlos Gonzalez <Adam Jones WTF? Carlos Gonzalez has been the best outfielder in the NL this year, he's batting .322 with 25 HR and 18 steals, more than Jones in any of those categories
    DH Paul Konerko <Vladimir Guerrero Vlad has sucked since the AS break, Konerko has more HR this year and last

    1. Adam Wainwright <<<<<Ubaldo Jimenez You are retarded, Jimenez hasn't been good since the ASG, Wainwright has a better ERA, WHIP, K/BB, everything other than wins
    2. David Price <Justin Verlander Again, you are retarded, Verlander has sucked this year, Price's ERA is like a run higher
    3. Mat Latos <Jered Weaver Latos has owned this year, 2.36 ERA
    4. John Danks push Ricky Nolasco Nolasco sucks
    5. Tim Hudson <Carl Pavano WTF is wrong with you
    SU Hong Chi Kuo <Chris Perez Kuo has an ERA under 1...
    CL Andrew Bailey <Heath Bell Bailey has better ERA and WHIP, bell just pitches on a much better team so he gets more wins and saves

    So, based on all the clear mistakes Suns has made, one can conclude that he is both extremely biased, and has been lighting it up

    Look at some stats buddy

    Wainwright

    * W-L 17-6
    * ERA 1.99
    * K 158
    * Walks 42
    * WHIP 0.97

    Jimenez

    * W-L 17-3
    * ERA 2.55
    * K 143
    * Walks 64
    * WHIP 1.11

    Wainwright owns everything other than losses, mainly because Jimenez gets a ton of run support

    Stop being a homer.

    Sorry Suns, your team just isn't that good. You started off well and surprised some people but you tanked towards the end. Granted, it looks worse since Youker isn't in the draft, and you're against one of the best teams, but no matter who you faced, you weren't going to win this thing. Your team is decent, it's just not good enough for a seemingly 8 team league.

    If my team played his team on Proggressive Field in real life, we would blow his team out.

    Well, you could've been the 6 seed, but there were 5 teams clearly better than yours

    And you only addressed 2 of the 10+ clear bias mistakes you made

    And Verlander's ERA has never been below 3, Price's is, last year he was still developing, if you average last year and this he's still better than verlander, who is extremely inconsistent start to start

    And last year Latos didn't even pitch a full season, everything I've seen about him on ESPN thinks he's the real deal, Weaver is good too, but Latos has been better

    Anyways, these weren't the worst. The Carlos Gonzalez and Evan Longoria ones were extremely stupid
