Does anyone think Cecchini will be better than Middlebrooks?

When it comes to prospects, there's quite a bit of randomness, but I would say that Cecchini is the better prospect. Cecchini has a much more advanced plate approach as evidenced by his .320/.421/.477 slash stat in the minors and it looks like both of them will have spent the majority of their age 22 seasons in AA. The book is far from written on either one of these guys though, Middlebrooks is only 24 years old.

All Cecchini does is hit. Another two hit night to bring his AA BA to .383

I think he is our best hitting prospect. Hopefully he can become a 20HR+ guy.

I said it earlier, he reminds me a lot of Youk. Cecchini has a better hit tool (average) and speed. I think Cecchini has power that will develop as he progresses too.

He needs to go ahead and start taking some reps at 1B because that's where he's going to wind up if he doesn't get dished.

Middlebrooks is the better prospect. Power is a rare commodity these days and that kid has light tower power.
    Hal sucks

It's official then, Cecchini is the better prospect.

What?? Cecchini is clearly a better prospect. Cecchini has outrageous plate discipline. His wRC+ for the past 2 years was 183 and 198. Middlebrooks doesn't sniff that.

And WMB didn't have much power until he was 22 either

    Prospects aren't really Jackso's thing.

    Middlebrooks could turn into Frenchy.

Cecchini minor stats are off the chart.

    Cecchini with a 3-4 game, 2B.

    Now .362/.480/.555 between A+/AA

What's new? Cechhini with another multiple hit game, including a 2B.

    Now his AA line: .418/.522/.600

But Middlebrooks is the better prospect because he has power.

Cecchini has a sweet swing, but where do the Sox play him?
