Get Chase Headley on the All Star Team

I hope there's a campaign to stuff the ballot box and get Chase to the ASG. That would be awesome.
    Priorities:
    1. Yankees lose
    2. Red Sox win

On the BDC site, I campaigned for signing Headley over Pablo, but then again, I also said getting Valbuena would be better as well.

Throwing him out there is no good. We need to phantom DL the guy. Maybe even sham a surgery. Make him disappear
    Hal sucks

I admit that I was one of those that wanted Headly over Pablo.

I guess both teams are fucked.

The Sox are far more fucked, though.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Refsnyder or Castro. Ackley can also play 2b. To be honest, I want to see what Refsnyder can do, and he couldn't possibly be worse

He's not exactly lighting up AAA but like you say, how worse can he be? Meanwhile I want Chase to go 100 ABs without an XBH.

I can relate to this kind of spiteful dream.

i dont see how? we have a low cost replacement that is playing quite well. and have DL'd the Butterball enabling John Henry to recoup Insurance monies.

Ironically enough, I'd rather be paying Pablo not to play than paying Headley to play right now.

Two things on the insurance. Contract insurance is for an entire season, so the fact that Pablo made the roster and had a few ABs is enough to void the insurance payout. Also, I think the sox are one of a handful of teams that do not insure their contracts for injury.

Refsnyder is hitting .359 in his last 10 games. The kid has a big league bat. The glove remains the question. But handling the hot corner is definitely easier from a positioning standpoint than the key stone. And I know Rob has the arm

you can get insurance for anything you can ever think of. so teams can most certainly purchase insurance on any level of injury/DL stints. I highly doubt the Sox FO is announcing who they have insurance on and who they dont. but i would love to see your source for stating they do not insure their players for injury.
