I said that I believe PEDs were not against the rules in 03 when he was named on the list.

Or you could have simply read my previous posts to see what I said instead of being lazy.

I'm just glad that my nonsense got him to admit that Ortiz isn't a cheater and did nothing wrong. Guess we won't have to hear him talk about Ortiz's milkshakes or eyedrops anymore? You're welcome, Talksox!

Hell I'm not even saying to take money away from them, maybe donating some of the additional signing. They were involving in a cheating scandal... Why do they somehow end up with MORE money afterwards ? Am I the only one who finds that strange ?

    I never said he wasn't a cheater.

Cards lose a se cond and third round pick and some money for hacking the 'Stros.

We lose 5 prospects and get a two year ban on international signings for what we did.

    Am I missing something?

I'd rather lose the guys we did than a 2nd and 3rd rounder. Also, I don't believe we were "banned" from international signings, just that we could not sign guys subject to bonus pools.

You could also say that the Cardinals guy was a rogue employee whereas the Sox was an organizational decision.

Good points, but I seriously doubt nobody else knew about the how that "rogue" employee got his information. Just my opinion.

I will say that the ban on players "subject to the bonus pool" was still significant.

We got some awesome players through the international market recently: we often paid penalties for going over the allotted pool limit, but at least we got to sign some top prospects.

    Moncada
    Devers
    Margot
    Bogaerts
