    Exactly.

Castillo rolls of the tongue naturally in Spanish.

Wellington????? That is even dopey sounding in English.

Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Another classic is former Mets minor leaguer Esix Snead, whose name sounds like it came straight from a Dr Seuss book...

    Playing for the Twins today:
    Zack Granite

He came into today hitting .150 this spring. So yes, he's off to a rocky start.

That joke would only be funny if I were stoned.

There are a lot of good new names popping up.

Like Rays prospect Johnny Field. Holy crap, what a great baseball name. Like Donnie Baseball, only it's his real name.

I'm high as balls and it's not as funny as it should be given the source.

I'm trying to see how many different colors I can get without using nicknames:

    Mike Green
    Bud Black
    Bill White
Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown (great first name)
    Vida Blue

    Jim Golden
Silver Flint (My new favorite name, though maybe he doesn't count since he played in the 1870s-80s, before the MLB)
Chief Yellow Horse (pitched for Pittsburgh in 1921 and 1922 apparently. I love BR.com. )
    Jimmy Lavender

Also, not a color but while looking for colors I stumbled upon Beiker Graterol, who played in exactly one game for the Tigers in 1999. He started it, pitched 4 innings, and lost. I know that it's only funny sounding because I am not Venezuelan, but he's the only player in MLB history, at least according to BR.com, with a first name that begins with Bei-. It's 2:20AM which makes that an interesting fact to me.

Nice. That's right up there with the names of the hockey and soccer players.
