Fister 0-3/ 6.75

Will try and recover after his last tough start against the Rangers where he gave up five runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings. Reported to be headed to the bullpen after this start.

Liriano 5-5/ 6.04

Liriano is scheduled to make this start after being pulled from his last start with a stiff neck. Was evaulated, and cleared to pitch after his bullpen session on Tuesday.

It's time to get Fister his first win with the Red Sox. Let's end this home stand with a bang and start the left coast road trip off on a good note.

Get it done boys!!! Beat the Jays!!!

Belated congratulations to Kimmi for resuscitating this homestand with two key wins. While I truly admire her enthusiasm for today's game, the realist in me says that winning with Fister has the same promise as swimming with the sharks.

Hopefully Muddlers Row can score some runs off Liriano.

Fister needs to keep us in the game. Our offense has obviously not been great, but Liriano should be hittable. He also has not been commanding his fastball well at all.

Once again, the Jays are going down!

And here is the actual muddlers row for today--

Betts

Young (!!!) LF

Pedroia DH (!!!)

Ramirez 1b

Bradley

Bogaerts

Leon

Marrero 3b

Holt 2b

That's 6 righty bats plus one switch-hitter (Leon), and 2 lefties (Bradley and Holt)

why the f*** is fister pitching when sale could be pitching on regular rest?

Yeah.. this is a good point too? We had E-Rod and Johnson pitch to make up for the double header, so why the f*** is Fister pitching today? It makes no sense.

Why can't you ask the question without dropping the f-bomb?

Fister is awful. No stuff and no control. He threw 27 pitches in the first inning--15 for strikes and 12 for balls--and gave up two doubles and a run. The scary part is that he wasn't really "off," he was just being Fister.

When Farrell uses him in a reliever role, it's tantamount to putting up the white flag.

I understand about keeping the rotation fresh and not fatigued, but sending Fister out also signals to the lineup that Farrell is giving this game away.

Because I can. Are you really gonna complain about the use of that word?

I have no problem with your use of the word.

It's not as if you are telling a Talksox member to go f*** themselves. That would not be nice.

He has similar stuff to Kendrick. I don't really don't see what he brings positively at all. He has no role and should just be designated for assignment.

Exactly. The word has been used all the time on this site by various members in all my years as a member here. I was using the word to describe my frustration with Doug Fister, wasn't like it was a personal attack or anything of that nature.

Also, SC30 used the exact same word in almost the same way I used it and he didn't quote him and complain about his use of the word...

No complaint. I simply asked a question.

I suppose you're communicating to the best of your abilities.

Warm regards.

what are we 12? complaining about the use of the f*** word?

I associate the f-word with 12-year-olds.:D

Many folks outgrow that stage.

You’re an *******. He wasn’t using the word towards anyone. Just expressing his frustrations and you get insulted by the word. But, you can make a comment on his communication abilities.
