Thank goodness we won today. I can enjoy the off day tomorrow.

Sale is awesome. What more needs to be said about him?

Sale is so good you're pretty much expecting him to put him up 7 scoreless with 11 K's.

This week my fantasy team has reaped the benefits of starts by lefthanders James Paxton and Chris Sale in their respective teams' 4-0 wins:

    JP 7 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 10 K, 103 NP
    CS 7 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 11 K, 115 NP

No offense but I wasn't asking you. I figured a700 wouldn't bother to respond; I was right.

Kimbrel? He faced 2 batters and struck both out.

Boyer pitched the 8th and started the 9th; got the first guy then gave up a hit and a wallk. That brought in Kimbrel.

I never saw your post as I stepped away from my computer after my post.

My answer is that my lineup would include a player that we haven't acquired. I realize that you took my post as a slam at Farrell, but it wasn't. It was a slam at our offense.

Fair enough. I don't see how one newly acquired player is going to make a difference in the offense without 3 or 4 of the current players raising their game.

I think one potent bat could make a big difference.

KC has won 9 row, I believe. I hope that means they are due to lose a few in a row.

We'll be facing a couple of tough pitchers, including Vargas, who is having a near Cy type year.

I hope Price is up to the challenge.

And then we face Cleveland after that.

Vargas hasn't had a QS over his past 3 outings. He's definitely cooling off.

Meh. I like KC for the Q and little else.

Although I would take Hosmer and Perez on my team any day.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
