    Maybe one.

I'm glad we're playing the 'Stros and O's and Reds.

THis was an impressive come from behind victory in a game that looked like an early blowout. Add to the comeback that they won the game in extra innings on the road. These are the type of games that good teams win. We don'twin these games as a function of the god of randomness. This team wants these games more than their opponents want them. They are a bunch of punchless little smurfs, but they are stubborn determined smurfs. Benintendi was not having a good AB when he got the game winning hit. He was out of sync in that AB, but he did just enough to get it in play and get a seeing eye base hit through the hole. It barely rolled into the OF, but it was a line drive in the Box Score.

Reds are 39-36 at home, and we have to trot out Fister and Rodriguez. That series isn't going to be a cakewalk.

What, pray tell, has been a cakewalk this season or even this month?

Just woke up to see the fantastic 11th in replay. Early in the game I said the Sox were basically dead, then saw the great rally and then the dinger by Bogie. Killer B's have been mainstays this season even in down years by all three. Plus JBJ of course.

What a bullpen! After Fister gave up 5 in 2 innings, they held the Oriole's to 2 ER's in 9 innings.

    Sweet!

My kind of post! JBJ says this team has GRIT. I'm thinking that whatever it is, it exists. This isn't randomness, or a game of statistics dictating outcomes. This is a game of one team wanting something real bad. Addison Reed's comments this morning are worth the read. They have become a very interesting team to watch.

Even though JF managed his pitching staff like he too thought the game was lost early, the guys refused to lose. JF would up heavily using his BP anyway, and he usually does better with the pitching. Maybe the team attitude is getting to the point where they expect to win. A good thing.

Just watched the recap when I got home from work a few minutes ago. Excellent. Could have asked for better pitching in the beginning, but a win is a win, and the defensive highlights made this a great one. Two guys cut down at second in a tie game, by Bradley (of course) and Leon (!?). Betts certainly didn't look like his injury was bothering him, and holy shit does he like hitting at Camden Yards.

I like their chances with Berrios today against the guy who thinks pitchers should have a designated fielder.

With that said I am also glad if the season ended today we will likely play Houston. I want nothing to do with Cleveland in the first round lol.

It's weird, because I've had the feeling all year, even back when Houston was almost as good as the Dodgers, that we would be able to handle them in the playoffs. I don't know what exactly makes me think that, but I feel good about Houston in the first round.
